Anthony Maier is a dynamic workers’ compensation attorney with a diverse background in both law and international studies. A graduate of Campbell University School of Law, Anthony earned his double major B.A. in Political Science and Peace, War, and Defense (with a concentration in International Security and Intelligence) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also minored in Statistics and Analytics. His academic achievements were complemented by a Dean’s Excellence Scholarship, and his experience spans the corporate and research sectors. His work alongside in-house counsel in the banking industry provided direct experience in negotiation and complex litigation—preparing him with a unique perspective on serving the business needs of our clients. Seeing firsthand the many different aspects of law that can impact a business helped him solidify his decision to build a practice in workers’ compensation.

Originally from Peoria, Illinois, Anthony’s childhood involved living around the globe, spending five years in France, two in Brazil, and three in China, before settling in North Carolina. This international experience has given him a broad worldview and a strong appreciation for diverse perspectives—qualities that are evident in his legal practice.

Anthony’s competitive spirit, honed through years of playing basketball, soccer, and rugby, fuels his dedication to his clients. Even after an injury sidelined his rugby career, he continued as a coach, developing his leadership skills and bringing the same determination to his work as an attorney. Focused on workers’ compensation, Anthony enjoys the strategic challenge of piecing together complex issues and advocating for his clients’ best outcomes.

Outside of work, Anthony loves spending time with his dog, Reef, watching Green Bay Packers games, and attending Carolina Hurricanes games. He also has a love for cooking and exploring new dining spots.  His ideal vacation destinations reflect his adventurous side, whether he’s snowboarding in the Colorado mountains or unwinding on the beaches of Phuket, Thailand.
