Billing Specialist

Teague Campbell started as a partnership between two attorneys in 1948 and has developed into a thriving civil litigation law firm. The Position

Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, the Billing Specialist will be responsible for performing general accounting duties to include billing (with a strong emphasis on electronic billing), Processing of client exception reports, client collections. This role will also cross-train on running conflict checks, as well as the set-up of new files.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has ideally 2-3 years of law firm billing experience.
• Exhibits polished written and verbal communication skills with clients and firm members.
• Has excellent computer skills, with preferred experience using NetDocuments and Centerbase or other billing platform.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask under tight deadlines.
• Able to triage questions and provide support in a timely manner.
• Can work independently and with a team, is self-motivated, detailed and results oriented.

Insurance Coverage Attorney

Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, a growing civil litigation firm with offices throughout North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its insurance coverage practice.

The position will involve a broad range of first- and third-party coverage matters, including analysis of complex insurance policies and underlying litigation, preparation of coverage opinions and reservation-of-rights correspondence, and prosecution and defense of declaratory judgment actions in state and federal court. The attorney will also handle related civil litigation matters as appropriate.

We are looking for a lawyer with strong writing and analytical skills who can take ownership of files, communicate effectively with sophisticated insurer and institutional clients, and work independently while remaining part of a collaborative team. 2-3+ years of litigation experience, including meaningful prior experience with insurance coverage matters is strongly preferred. Candidates should also have litigation experience and be comfortable handling matters from initial analysis through resolution.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in good standing. Admission to the federal courts in North Carolina is preferred. Some statewide travel may be required.

Our preference is for a candidate based in Raleigh or Asheville, where the firm maintains established offices. We will also consider strong North Carolina-based candidates for a primarily remote position, particularly those with substantial insurance coverage experience and a demonstrated ability to manage matters independently.

Important Location Note

This position will initially be mostly remote while the firm transitions from its current shared office space in Belmont, NC to a dedicated office location in western Charlotte, NC. The firm expects that move to occur in 2027. Once the new Charlotte office opens, this position is expected to follow a hybrid schedule, working both remotely and in-office based on business needs. Candidates should be willing and able to commute to the new western Charlotte location.
