Brian Duncan co-leads for the firm’s Multi‑Family Property Management (MFPM) service offering, helping shape and support this area of practice. He is a focused and efficient attorney known for his commitment to providing outstanding legal counsel in liability, civil litigation, collections, and property management. Brian’s journey to the legal profession is a testament to his perseverance and passion for helping others.

Brian began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in History from Radford University and a Master of Arts in History from James Madison University. Balancing a full-time job while attending the evening program at North Carolina Central University School of Law, Brian earned his Juris Doctor, demonstrating his determination and work ethic in achieving his legal education.

Currently admitted to the North Carolina Bar and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Brian’s practice currently focuses on navigating complex legal issues related to liability and civil disputes. Brian actively contributes to the legal community through his involvement in the Apartment Association of North Carolina’s Education Committee and the North Carolina Bar Association.

Born and raised in Floyd County, Virginia, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Brian’s upbringing instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for community. Growing up on farms and participating in high school sports like football, basketball, and baseball shaped his character and uniquely prepared him for the challenges of working with a team in his legal career.

Brian cherishes time with his large family, which includes his partner and their six children. They enjoy exploring the outdoors together, whether at the beach, in the mountains, or by the lake. An avid traveler, Brian has a fondness for Scotland, having visited twice and appreciates its rich history and culture. In his spare moments, Brian finds joy in playing the guitar, a hobby that allows him to unwind amidst the bustling energy of family life.
