Jake Floyd grew up in Walnut Cove, North Carolina. He attended South Stokes High School, where he was introduced to his first legal course. From that point on, Jake knew he wanted to be an attorney. Jake attended Western Carolina University where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2018. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Norman Adrian Wiggins Campbell School of Law in 2022. During his time in law school, Jake was a chartering member of the Gailor Family Law Litigation Clinic and participated in numerous internships with the North Carolina Judicial Branch.

Jake is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, South Carolina Bar Association, and Mecklenburg County Bar Association. His practice has focused on workers compensation, insurance defense, and personal injury, with experience as both a plaintiff and defense attorney.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time outdoors and working with his hands. Having grown up on a 114-acre farm, Jake has a passion for the outdoors that has followed him through life. He loves farming, hiking, swimming, fishing, hunting, target shooting, and cliff jumping. When he is not working, you can find Jake on any mountain in Western North Carolina.

In his personal life, Jake is a devoted son, brother, and fiancé. He enjoys taking trips with his family and taking walks with his cane corso. His commitment to community involvement is highlighted by his background in sports, JROTC, and the Golden Leaf Scholars Leadership Program.
