Jill Berry is a dedicated public service attorney with a passion for helping communities across North Carolina. After earning her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University, graduating cum laude, Jill went on to obtain her J.D. from Campbell University School of Law. During her time in law school, she was recognized for her service with multiple awards, including the Student Bar Association Service Award and the Student Pro Bono Award. Her leadership roles as Managing Student Director of the Campbell Law Pro Bono Council and Project Manager of the Education Law Pro Bono Project highlight her commitment to giving back to the community through legal work.

Jill’s legal experience includes internships with the NC Community College System Office, the NC Department of Justice’s Education Section, and the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, where she gained extensive exposure to public sector legal work. She is licensed in North Carolina and focuses her practice on the public service sector, where she applies her legal expertise to improve the communities she serves.

Originally from Greenville, NC, Jill is an avid gardener, a passion she developed during law school and continues to enjoy in her free time. When she’s not tending to her garden, she loves spending time with her black lab, Hyde, relaxing by the water or enjoying the outdoors. Jill also has a unique personal goal—to visit every Register of Deeds office in North Carolina and find the oldest deed recorded in each office. So far, she’s visited seven!

Known by her colleagues as intelligent, kind, and dedicated, Jill brings a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to community to everything she does, making her an invaluable asset to the public sector practice group and those she serves.
