Attorneys Elizabeth Ligon and Logan Shipman Publish Article in LexisNexis Workers’ Compensation Emerging Issues Analysis
Teague Campbell attorneys Elizabeth Ligon and Logan Shipman have been featured in LexisNexis’ 2022 Edition of Workers’ Compensation Emerging Issues Analysis. This year’s issue highlights the 50 year anniversary of the National Commission on State Workman’s [sic] Compensation Laws, a Commission that met in 1972 to discuss the American workers’ compensation system and out of which came a report that still resonates today.
Their article, An Historical Analysis of North Carolina’s Extended Benefits Cap and Potential Constitutional Challenges to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 97-29, discusses how North Carolina handled the recommendations of the 1972 National Commission on removing limits on the payment of benefits for permanent total disability or death.
Elizabeth Ligon and Logan Shipman are both members of Teague Campbell’s Workers’ Compensation team. Elizabeth represents and counsels employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators through every phase of the workers’ compensation process in North Carolina. Elizabeth has experience working closely with mid to large size employers, staffing companies, and trucking and commercial transport companies. Logan is genuinely invested in his clients and he prioritizes efficiency, precision, and compassion; all of which come through in his workers’ compensation practice.
