Stephanie brings a unique perspective to civil defense and litigation that is refreshing for her clients. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, Stephanie served as an Army officer for almost nine years. In search of a second career that would challenge her as much as the military, Stephanie received her Juris Doctor degree from Campbell Law School, where she graduated fifth in her class. While at Campbell, she was invited to join the Campbell Law Review and later became the managing editor. Stephanie also earned eight book awards at Campbell and was a finalist in the Richard T. Bowser Client Counseling Competition. Law is a good fit for Stephanie because she enjoys combining a strong grasp of fundamentals with innovation to solve complex issues.

During her time in the Army, Stephanie’s first deployment was to Iraq as a signal officer. Afterward, she transitioned to a psychological operations officer and deployed to Pakistan and Qatar. In Pakistan, Stephanie worked out of the U.S. Embassy, answering directly to the Deputy Chief of Mission. Upon returning home, she was selected for the Army’s first program to embed female Special Operations Soldiers with the elite U.S. Special Forces. Stephanie then deployed to Afghanistan, enabling Special Forces teams to access the rural female population. Her  awards  and  decorations  include  the  Bronze  Star  Medal,  Army  Commendation  Medals,  Army  Achievement  Medals,  Combat  Action  Badge,  and  Parachutist  Badge.

A native of North Carolina, Stephanie and her husband, Eli, an active duty Special Forces warrant officer, have settled in Fuquay-Varina with their two beautiful little girls. Stephanie serves as a volunteer for SAFEchild of Wake County in the “Funny Tummy Feelings” program because she believes in the mission of empowering young children to protect themselves from sexual abuse. Formerly certified as a Pilates instructor, Stephanie now gravitates toward shorter weightlifting sessions to leave plenty of free time for family movie nights. She also travels frequently with her family. Their favorite vacation spot is Israel, where they enjoy the history and the Mediterranean.
