From oil and watercolor painting to Bollywood dancing, Shivani is happiest when she can express her creativity. Originally from Cary, Shivani’s undergraduate years were spent at UNC Chapel Hill where she received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Global Studies, a minor in Hindi, and competed on and captained the Tar Heel Raas Indian dance group. She went on to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law where she graduated with her Juris Doctor degree in 2020.

During her tenure at the University of Baltimore, Shivani volunteered as a Rule 19 student attorney in the Human Trafficking Prevention Clinic and worked as a research assistant for Professor Neinke Grossman where her largest project culminated in the publication of Populism, International Courts, and Women’s Human Rights in the Maryland International Journal of Law in 2019. Throughout law school, Shivani was continually drawn to the end goal. By first taking time to understand the client’s goals, she enjoyed helping others chart their course for success. After passing the Universal Bar Exam (UBE) in Maryland and North Carolina, Shivani went on to clerk for the Honorable Judge Angela M. Eaves at the Harford County Circuit Court in Maryland.

Shivani grew up as a child of hard-working parents who instilled in her a love of learning and an appreciation for rules and structure. Shivani found her strengths in analysis, critical thinking and a solution-oriented approach, which sparked her interest in law school at a young age. Shivani is collaborative and enjoys being part of a team that works together to come up with the best solution for each client. Shivani’s experience in clerking and her natural creativity assist her with providing practical and innovative solutions to assist clients in achieving their business goals.

In addition to her practice in workers’ compensation, Shivani enjoys painting, hiking, and traveling. She studied abroad in college and retains a love of exploring new cities and cultures. Ever fearless, she has sights set on South America for her next adventure.
