Katie P. Dunn

ATTORNEY

Raleigh Office

TEL (919) 417-6976

FAX (919) 873-1814

A native of Wake County, Katie represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators through every phase of the workers’ compensation process in North Carolina. Katie credits her scientific background for providing her with a unique understanding of the medical intricacies involved in these claims. She enjoys counseling her clients and providing an analysis that will bring the claim to resolution in an efficient manner. If litigation becomes necessary, Katie brings practical skills, experience, and dedication to the courtroom on behalf of her clients.

Katie was exposed to the scientific and legal fields at an early age through her father’s journey from successful engineer to respected patent and intellectual property attorney. For undergraduate studies, Katie headed to the mountains where she obtained bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University. After college, Katie interned at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Unit before returning to Raleigh to work in the biochemical genetics laboratory at LabCorp. Feeling drawn to the legal field, Katie enrolled at Campbell University School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate and graduated cum laude. During her time at Campbell, Katie was an Articles Editor for the Campbell Law Review, and an academic scholarship recipient.

Prior to joining Teague Campbell, Katie interned for the Honorable John M. Tyson of the North Carolina Court of Appeals, clerked with the North Carolina Industrial Commission, and practiced at well-respected workers’ compensation and civil litigation defense firms in Raleigh. Her reputation as thorough, analytical, and responsive makes her a great advocate for her clients.

Katie now resides in Garner with her husband, Hobie, and their two daughters. The family also has a Great Dane named Lily, and two cats, McGonagall and Sprout. Outside of the office, Katie values time with her family. They enjoy visiting local parks, doing DIY projects around the house, and baking together.
