Originally from Atlanta, Jesse has always wanted to put down roots in Asheville. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Emory University, Jesse explored his skill set in industrial design, digital programing, and website development prior to attending law school. He had the opportunity to move to Asheville in 2012, and later attended law school at UNC School of Law in Chapel Hill, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors in 2017. During his time at UNC, Jesse worked in the Community Development Law Clinic, a transactional law clinic for non-profit organizations. Jesse enjoyed the opportunity to gain valuable client interaction and case management skills while still in law school, all while helping his clients move forward with causes they were passionate about.

Deciding to go to law school was a practical decision for Jesse, but it was also inspired by a handful of individuals he truly admired. In his civil litigation defense practice, Jesse believes in the importance of developing relationships with his clients that allow him to gain true insight into their goals. That insight, along with his unique mix of intellectual curiosity, storytelling ability, compassion, and analytical skills, helps Jesse develop the best possible plan to achieve those goals.

Jesse and his wife have two dogs, an Airedale Terrier and a Welsh Terrier, who love that their lifestyle comes with long and frequent walks. Jesse is a life-long cyclist, and enjoys mountain biking on the many miles of trails in the mountains surrounding Asheville. When he isn’t biking or hard at work for his clients, he might be headed to the beach, or a new city, for a weekend getaway with his wife.
