TEL (919) 719-4720
FAX (919) 873-1814
A native of the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Ellen made her way to North Carolina via High Point University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. During her undergraduate years, she met professors and attorneys who examined the difficulties of navigating the U.S. legal system. It was the complexities of the law that drew Ellen to the legal profession so she could become a meaningful resource for others. She went on to attend the University of South Carolina Law School, earning her Juris Doctorate in 2021.
During her time at the University of South Carolina, Ellen took courses in subject matters ranging from Federal Indian Law to Coastal Law. She was actively involved in student life, which included membership in Women in Law and the Public Interest Society. Ellen was a recipient of the Konduros Fellowship Award, which pairs select law students with summer jobs in the public sector. As part of the Fellowship Award, Ellen worked as a law clerk with South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, a local non-profit, drafting motions and creating support guides for clients to understand the nuances of the law. During law school, Ellen also worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Brooks P. Goldsmith, Circuit Court Judge of the 6th Circuit, traveling across South Carolina to assist with cases.
Ellen is energized through learning and advocating for others. She is a problem-solver who thrives in analysis, critical thinking, and solution-oriented creativity. These skills translate well into her work in insurance coverage and civil litigation. Ellen enjoys being part of a team that works together to come up with the best solution for each client.
Growing up, Ellen played basketball and soccer competitively. When out of the office, she indulges her competitive spirit by playing on an intramural volleyball team and running. Ellen enjoys exploring her new home, including finding the best breweries and eateries that Raleigh has to offer.
