Elizabeth’s practice focuses in the area of workers’ compensation. She represents and counsels employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators through every phase of the workers’ compensation process in North Carolina. Elizabeth has experience working closely with mid to large size employers, staffing companies, and trucking and commercial transport companies. When circumstances call for it, she is a zealous litigator; however, Elizabeth enjoys negotiating a timely and efficient resolution for her clients.
Academics have always been important to Elizabeth, a virtue instilled in her by her mom who taught fourth grade. Elizabeth grew up in Charlotte, but ventured to the triangle to attend college. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. Elizabeth went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. During law school, Elizabeth was a member of the Negotiation Team of the Holderness Moot Court Bench and a member of the Broun National Trial Team. She also served as Deputy Chair of the Graduate Honor Court and dedicated her time to the Civil Litigation Clinic.
Elizabeth lives in Wake Forest with her husband, Parks, son, Brant, and their two rescue dogs, Rayna and Whitley. Family and community have always been important to Elizabeth. She completed over 100 hours of pro bono service during law school and continues her engagement in the community through her church, The Summit. She also enjoys live music and authentic Mexican food. In her free time, Elizabeth appreciates a good book, usually the latest title from The New York Times® Bestsellers list, and spending time with family at Topsail Island and the Chesapeake Bay.
