Zack’s natural drive and competitive nature make him a solid advocate for his clients. These characteristics were reinforced at a very young age through his dedication to the game of soccer. Zack played soccer throughout his adolescence and went on to play for the 2007 National Champions team at Wake Forest University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Before attending law school, Zack pursued a professional soccer career. He was a forward for the New England Revolution in Boston from 2010-2012 and came back to Raleigh to play for the Carolina Railhawks from 2012-2014.

From there, Zack decided to embark on his next challenge and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017. During his time at UNC Chapel Hill, Zack worked in the UNC Civil Lawyering Clinic and served as a staff member for the UNC First Amendment Law Review. He also spent a summer interning in the Legal Department at Biomerieux, Inc. and was a summer associate at Teague Campbell. Zack enjoys the adversarial nature of the law and draws similarities between litigation and preparing for a game; however, he prides himself on being “coachable” and adapting quickly to the needs of the client.

Born and raised in Cary, NC, Zack knew he wanted to settle in the Raleigh area. His parents still reside in Cary where his dad is a family attorney, and his older brother is an optometrist in Wilmington. In his free time, Zack enjoys fly fishing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. He also stays connected to the soccer community by serving as an assistant coach with NC FC’s Premier Development Program and coaching youth soccer. If he’s not at work or on the soccer field, you can find Zack in Holden Beach relaxing with friends and family, fly fishing or playing hide-and-seek with his two nieces.
