Justin focuses his practice on advising and representing clients in healthcare, employment, and general liability matters.  He enjoys helping healthcare providers and institutions with occupational licensing issues, billing compliance matters, malpractice claims, and general practice management, with the overall goal of managing risk and avoiding litigation.  He also advises public and private employers on compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and restrictive covenants.  In the general liability realm, Justin has experience with condemnation cases, governmental immunity, and trucking and transportation matters.

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Justin graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government.  From a young age, Justin had a desire to serve others and joined the legal profession to achieve that goal.  Justin and his wife Meghan moved to North Carolina in 2011, where he received his Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

In law school, Justin served as a staff member for the Wake Forest Journal of Law and Policy, was Secretary of his Phi Alpha Delta chapter, and competed as a member of Wake Forest’s National Trial Team and National Moot Court Team.  Justin won the Wake Forest Zeliff Trial Competition and was part of the National Moot Court team that secured the regional championship during his tenure at Wake Forest.  He also participated in Wake Forest’s Civil and Criminal Externship Clinic, a program that gave him the opportunity to use his knowledge and advocacy skills to help real world clients.  In recognition of his success, Justin was inducted into The Order of Barristers, a national honor society for students who excel in advocacy during law school. Prior to joining Teague Campbell, Justin interned in the District Attorney’s Office for North Carolina’s 21st Judicial District in Winston-Salem.

Justin and Meghan are the proud parents of one young daughter, Harper, and are preparing to welcome baby #2 this winter.  Justin and his family are actively involved with Sacred Heart Cathedral, where they support a variety of causes in the community.  On his daily commute, Justin passes the time by listening to interesting and relevant podcasts and enjoys reading philosophy, theology and history titles in his free time.
