Jennifer is an experienced trial attorney, having tried numerous cases throughout North Carolina. She focuses her practice on defending products liability, premises liability, medical and professional malpractice actions and actions against governments and municipalities. In addition to defending cases of alleged malpractice against all types of health care providers, Jennifer has an active practice defending healthcare and mental healthcare providers before their respective licensing boards. Jennifer handles matters in North Carolina’s Superior Courts, all three Federal District Courts in North Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude from Campbell University School of Law. While in law school, Jennifer was a William Taylor Academic Scholar, served as membership editor of the Campbell Law Review, worked as an intern for Supreme Court Justice Henry Frye, and received American Jurisprudence Awards for excellence in Products Liability Law, Constitutional Law, and Criminal Law. Upon graduation, she was selected for membership in the Order of Barristers. Jennifer is currently serving a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors for Campbell University Law School’s Alumni Association.

Jennifer is approved by the North Carolina Department of Insurance to present seminars for continuing education for adjusters, and has lectured at a number of continuing education seminars for insurance adjusters throughout the Southeast. In addition to providing seminars for her clients, Jennifer has enjoyed serving as an invited lecturer for the National Business Institute.

Jennifer is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Wake County Bar Association. Jennifer is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, actively serving on its medical malpractice and products liability committees. By Industry Professional nomination, Jennifer was selected as a Premium Member of the Claim & Litigation Management Alliance in 2013, and in 2014 served as Vice President for CLM’s Eastern North Carolina Chapter. Finally, in 2023, Jennifer was elected to serve as Council Member of the NCBA Government and Public Sector (GPS) Section; she will serve a three-year term in this role.
